In 2019, Alysia "Millie" Streeter founded her first business, CrownMe Wigs. Millie began making her own wigs and doing her own hair in late 2017 and into 2018 to save money while her mom underwent chemotherapy for breast cancer. As her skills improved, friends and family began to ask, "Who did your hair?" This led Millie to start making wigs and styling hair for others. Word spread, and by 2019, CrownMe Wigs was established.
In 2022, Millie launched her own hair growth product, CrownMe Wigs Hair Growth Oil. This invention was born out of her personal struggle with hair growth around the edges due to increased wig glue usage, as well as her mom's journey to regrow her hair after cancer treatment. CMW Hair Growth Oil quickly gained a reputation as one of the best oils on the market for strengthening and growing hair.
Now, in 2024, Millie is embarking on a new journey by starting Cosmetology school on April 1st, exactly two years after releasing her first hair care product. The future looks bright for Millie, and we can't wait to see what she has in store next!
In addition to her business ventures, Millie organizes local pop-up shops in the South Florida area, providing local business owners a platform to sell their products and showcasing amazing local artists. She also gives back to the community with a back-to-school backpack giveaway.
